CopticLife ("we", "us"), operated by [LEGAL ENTITY], provides a mobile application for the Coptic Orthodox community. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Information we collect

• Account information — the name, username, and email address you provide when registering, plus a securely hashed password. Optionally, a profile photo and bio.
• Content you create — posts, comments, reactions, uploaded videos, audio, images, prayer requests, and events. This content is stored so the app can display it.
• Device tokens — if you enable notifications, a push token (Apple/Google) so we can deliver notifications about content you follow.
• Basic technical data — information needed to operate the service, such as requests to our servers. We do not use third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

How we use your information

• To provide and maintain the app — authentication, showing your feed, and delivering content.
• To send notifications you have opted into.
• To keep the community safe — moderating content and enforcing our Terms.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the infrastructure providers that host the service on our behalf (server hosting and media storage), and where required by law. Content you post publicly is visible to other users of the app.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app, which removes your profile and associated personal content. See Deleting your account for details.

Children

CopticLife is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed, and traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
